TAFRESH rugs and carpets usually have geometric or animal patterns. Great similarity exists between TAFRESH and HAMEDAN rugs and carpets.

Where is TAFRESH?

TAFRESH is a small town, 260 km southwest of TEHRAN, in central of IRAN. Although better in quality, the rugs of TAFRESH closely resemble those of HAMEDAN. This is because TAFRESH is located between QOM(QUM) and HAMADAN. TAFRESH rugs usually have a dense, thick pile made with high quality wool, giving these rugs an unusual softness. Smaller works are much more common than larger ones.
