Where is NAJAFABAD?

Najafabad (Persian: نجف‌آباد, also Romanized as Najafābād and Nejafābād)[1] is a city in and the capital of Najafabad County, Isfahan Province, Iran. It is located west of Isfahan and is increasingly becoming a part of Isfahan Metropolitan area. The city serves as a trade center for agricultural products in the region, and is noted for its pomegranates.

NAJAFABAD rugs and carpets have curvilinear patterns with medallions, quite similar to ISFAHAN and KASHAN. NAJAFABAD rugs and carpets are beautiful and create a very colorful look for your room.

Inspection of the back of the carpet is important because the weavers in NAJAFABAD use Persian knots. The quality of the carpet depends upon the number of knots, which varies, but averages from around 120 KPSI (30 RAJ) up to 475 KPSI (60 RAJ).
